Where did the summer go?

Okay, so yes I do realise it's been too long since my last post but this time I've really been busy 🙈 I feel like the June just flew by, like it lasted only 2 weeks.

I had my Chilean host sister here and I feel like I had sth pretty much everyday. We went to Helsinki center, to Suomenlinna (an old military island in front of Helsinki), to Heureka (science place with exhibitions, fun gadgets, planetarium etc), to my mom's uncle's summer cottage (went swimming to the lake, was just +18°C 😅), to Porvoo (a city about 45min drive from Helsinki, also where my bae is from ♡), to Stockholm Sweden etc . So for a girl who is an introvert, who loves being alone and just chilling at home instead of going out to bars or well anywhere especially in the evenings (yes, we do exist), it was quite a challenge. I feel like I've really gotten the fear of social situations... I'm like the black sheep of the family aince my parents and sister are like super social and out going 🙈.

What also really sucked was the poor weather we had... We've had so bad summers now for the 2 or 3 summers in a row. Last week was the best but even then the temperature didn't rise above like +24°C and it's just been raining a lot 👎. Today was a pretty good weather when I was in Helsinki with my friend but tmrw it will rain again... The global warming is really a thing and we should really do our best to even slow it down.

So what's been going on in my love life? Well, things are pretty good but my boyfriend actually now has pneumonia...and I'm just hoping that I won't get it since I've spent 2 nights with him during this time and as a kissing addict I've ofc also kissed him 💋🙈. So now, fingers crossed 😅 he now has the antibiotics so hopefully his pneumonia won't be contagious anymore since I would ofc really want to spend time with him more now while he has the permission to be away from army.

I think that's pretty much what's been happening in my life recently. Now just chilling the for a couple of weeks before starting the journey of studying to med school..😅🙈 it's so weird that for the first time in 12 years I DON'T have to go to school next week ♡👍

Finally! I graduated from high school 🎓❤ got my white cap and couldn't be happier. Now I can relax and not think about school for months (before I start to study for the med school exam in Autumn). Yesterday was just an amazing day and I'm so grateful for my friends, family, relatives and my boyfriend that they made my day perfect 💖 I feel blessed to be surrounded by all these wonderful people and also about the quality of education I have access to because I live in Finland 🇫🇮♡ I also feel super blessed by the gifts I receive from everyone 💖

What I really love about my graduation is that I got to graduate on my dad's birthday but also in the year that the Independent Finland turns 100 ♡ I'm really patriotic person and this just made my day. I didn't even plan it but even tho I usually wear pink or black etc, my dress was navy blue with white lace aka the colours of the Finnish flag 🇫🇮

It's still hard to realise that I've graduated but I'm sure it will sink in during the next few months or so 🙈 Now just working till the 30th of June and then a couple months of summer holiday ♡

The world is what you make it

As I was scrolling thru my instagram (you should totally follow me btw @katjusa1 😉) today I came across this quote that said: "If you lie on the ground on your back, it's like the world is your backpack and you're carrying it through space". I don't know about you but I thought it was kinda absurd but simultaneously so true.

It's one of those things that you don't think about spontaneously but when you hear it from somewhere it's all you can think about for a while because there's no way that you can really disagree with it. I mean who are you to say that that's not true? 😜

But back to the point. I totally agree with that quote. My biggest question is that if the world was your backpack, what kinda would it be? Would it be good or bad, beautiful or ugly, organized or a total mess? What kinda world you wanna live in and what are you gonna do to achieve that?

It's so easy to just step back and say that how can you make a difference just by yourself when theres billions of other people. That's the thing, it's all about your attitude. Rome wasn't built in one day and the world won't be changed in one day either. It's true that it's not really possible to do it all by yourself but if you have an idea that you believe in and you share it with the world, then maybe the world will share the same idea too, you never know. All you gotta do is try. If it doesn't work, well that sucks but at least you tried.

I know I'm not writing often enough but I'm graduating from high school this June so I have my finals going on right now (3/5 done ✌) so that pretty much takes all my time and energy. My last exam is on Friday so maybe after that I'll start writing even once a week 🙈
