Life's good

Okay,

so yesterday was the med school exam (applying to it, super hard, only like 7% get in). I only read my own notes (Side note: my notes were about 350-400 pages) the day before since this year I wasn't trying to get in yet. The exam wasn't actually that bad. I mean yeah the physics questions were super hard bc I'm not that good at it + I haven't studied physics for months. The chemistry parts were hard too but I still could answer to some but the biology, like damn I could answer (not fully but still) to every question and might even get full points from one 👌🙈 I just really wasn't happy about the calculator that they now only approve...

First of all it was hard to find one that was in their list because they were almost all gone already from everywhere. And second of all I mean look at it! (Pic down below) it's so tiny. You can only use symbols "+/-/÷/×/√" with it like cmoon...try to count pH things in chemistry with that.... Also you can only fit 8 symbols on the screen at a time... Like ummm it's the 21st century now ..but yeah I still managed with it so 🙈

After that I just went to eat with my friend and damn the food was good 👌 we had onion rings for starters and burgers for main course 🙈 (pics down below)

Today was an exciting day bc I started at my work. It was kinda scary and really tiring and hard at first but it got easier during the day and I'm sure I'll be good in no time ✌ Today also came the results from my matriculation examination and now I can finally officially say that I'm graduating from high school on the 3rd of June ❤ yaaaas 💁

I was a bit disappointed in my results but well those are hard and I still did pretty well 🙈 Now I can enjoy of not studying until September/October (then I will start studying for next yrs med school exam).

So yeah like the title says, life is pretty good and hopefully it will stay that way 😊

Tmrw again work which means I gotta get up (too) early but then starts weekend ❤

Hope you are all having a good day 💋

Mother's Day

Mother's day was pretty nice even tho I had slept only a few hours and had to do a lot of stuff during the day. I feel like we should celebrate moms 365 days a year tho 🙈 I love my mom more than words could ever describe 💖 she is my role model and my rock. I know I can always tell her everything and that she will always help me. I hope that someday I could be even half of the woman and a mother she is 💖

I could go on and on but maybe I'll just continue with on how the day went/what I did etc.

Mother's day menu:
- asparagus with ham and parmesan
- Beef fillet steak with pepper-cream sauce, grilled onions, grilled eggplant with feta and sage, Hasselbacka's potatoes and salad
- Rubarb cheese cake with roasted white chocolate (by my sister)

Besides good food and good company, I  saw this rabbit while I was picking flowers for my mom and grandma 🙈🐰 It came really close because I didn't move at all since I noticed it. It was so cute 🙈 I wish I would've gotten better photos but like I said I tried to stay still + I only had my phone with me and not my camera...

I know this was a pretty short post but I mean it was only about one day 🙈 oh and I also got a job so maybe more about that later here 😉 see you soon 💋

ESC Final

I wasn't really looking forward to this final since I didn't like most of the songs but I still watched the whole show ofc (well it's still going as I'm writing this)

The winner was Salvador Sobral from Portugal which was a disappointment to me. Idk I just didn't like the performance...also I don't wanna sound rude, but why do I get this feeling that one of the main reasons why he won was bc of his story? He is sick and had had a surgery not that long time ago.. I'm still kinda happy for them because this was the first time Portugal won and even got to the top 5, so that's pretty impressive 👌

Second one was Bulgaria. I didn't even remember the song from the semi-finals but it wasn't that bad ✌ the singer was this guy who was born in 2000, but had already turned 17, what a baby 🙈 (haha yes I do realize that he is less than 2 yrs younger than me but still 😜)

This year there was at least 3 countries whose singers were under 18-yr-olds; Australia, Belgium and Bulgaria.

In the end I was hoping that Moldova would win, I mean who can resist "the epic saxoman"? 😂 Also the performance was entertaining with it's funny coreography 💃 But well better luck next time.

Also let's hope that Finland will get to the final next year 🇫🇮😅✌ it has become sadly unlikely since our competition on who gets to represent Finland is based on giving every single little band a chance. I mean I'm all up for that, like not many had heard about Softengine before they represented us in the ESC but since then it has become really popular. But if we ever wanna have a change again to win we need to start sending professionals there.

But now it's 1.52 am here and I really need to go to sleep. It's Mother's Day tomorrow (well, today) so gotta wake up pretty early...👎

Good night ♡

2nd Semi-final

Again, I was really surprised by some of the countries who got to the Saturday's final. This time I wasn't watching the semi-final as interested as on Tuesday but I still could spot my favs.

Today the countries who got most votes were: Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, The Netherlands and Austria.

I wasn't a big fan of all of them, but for example I thought that Romania's yodle/rap song was kinda catchy. Alltho the girl doesn't yodle as well as she did in the music video so I'm not totally convinced by her 🤔

Hungary's song kinda sounded like some nonsense, like sounds instead of words put together but idk maybe Hungarian is like that 😅 ( no offense). The Netherland's song was pretty goodand the 3 sisters sang well but I kinda feel that the short dresses and their story behind the song (their mother has a cancer) was one of the reasons they got to final.

I really would've wanted to see Malta in the final but that didn't happen. Malta's beautiful ballad " Breathlessly" is actually one of my favs in the whole competition and happens to also be in my spotify list but well you can't always win 🙈

Also what happened today was (probably) the first proposal in ESC when F.Y.R. Macedonia's lead singer's boyfriend proposed to the singer (who also happens to be expecting their child 👌) That was pretty cute but also not that romantic. There wasn't really many sweet words, it was more like just " Will you marry me?" but hey she said yes and that's what matters 😉✌

Eurovision Song Contest

So, the Eurovision Song Contest started today with the first semi finals. Even tho Finland hasn't really succeeded well in it, I've been watching it since I was little and every year cheered for my country ofc. This year I actually kinda likef Finland's song 🇫🇮 (Norma John - Blackbird) and thought that maybe this year we will at least get to the final but nope, we didn't... I don't wanna sound like a sore loser but srsly, some of the countries' singers couldn't even hit the right note most of the times. It was painful to watch and listen 😅.

The 10 countries which made it to the final were: Moldova, Azerbaijan, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Armenia, Australia (I thought that they were only gonna get in to the competition on the 75th anniversary 2 yrs ago but well still going strong), Cyprus and Belgium.

Some of these really surprised me because I for example didn't like Cyprus', Azerbaijan's, Portugal's or Belgium's performances at all... Belgium's singer was a shy 17-yr-old girl who unfortunately couldn't hit the right note and I thought that the whole performance wasn't really finished.

Moldova probably got thru because of the saxoman everyone loved a couple of yrs ago and the funny choreography.

I also really hate how most of the women nowadays just wear short and revealing dresses. Is it just to get votes or did the singers really choose those kinda costumes themselves? That's my question. Also, why do almost everyone wear white?

But anyway,
Since I remember, Eurovision Song Contest has pretty much been more of a "who creates the best show" contest instead of an actual singing contest like it used to be, and each year I feel like the singers get worse and worse because all the countries just focus on the show with all the high tech laser and light shows and fire elements. I think it's kinda sad. I would really love to see some amazing singing talents too, but only few countries offer that each year.

But I think I've talked enough about tonight's semi-final, maybe more after Thursday's one or at least about the final on Saturday, so stay tuned 😉
