ESC Final

I wasn't really looking forward to this final since I didn't like most of the songs but I still watched the whole show ofc (well it's still going as I'm writing this)

The winner was Salvador Sobral from Portugal which was a disappointment to me. Idk I just didn't like the performance...also I don't wanna sound rude, but why do I get this feeling that one of the main reasons why he won was bc of his story? He is sick and had had a surgery not that long time ago.. I'm still kinda happy for them because this was the first time Portugal won and even got to the top 5, so that's pretty impressive 👌

Second one was Bulgaria. I didn't even remember the song from the semi-finals but it wasn't that bad ✌ the singer was this guy who was born in 2000, but had already turned 17, what a baby 🙈 (haha yes I do realize that he is less than 2 yrs younger than me but still 😜)

This year there was at least 3 countries whose singers were under 18-yr-olds; Australia, Belgium and Bulgaria.

In the end I was hoping that Moldova would win, I mean who can resist "the epic saxoman"? 😂 Also the performance was entertaining with it's funny coreography 💃 But well better luck next time.

Also let's hope that Finland will get to the final next year 🇫🇮😅✌ it has become sadly unlikely since our competition on who gets to represent Finland is based on giving every single little band a chance. I mean I'm all up for that, like not many had heard about Softengine before they represented us in the ESC but since then it has become really popular. But if we ever wanna have a change again to win we need to start sending professionals there.

But now it's 1.52 am here and I really need to go to sleep. It's Mother's Day tomorrow (well, today) so gotta wake up pretty early...👎

Good night ♡

2nd Semi-final

Again, I was really surprised by some of the countries who got to the Saturday's final. This time I wasn't watching the semi-final as interested as on Tuesday but I still could spot my favs.

Today the countries who got most votes were: Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, The Netherlands and Austria.

I wasn't a big fan of all of them, but for example I thought that Romania's yodle/rap song was kinda catchy. Alltho the girl doesn't yodle as well as she did in the music video so I'm not totally convinced by her 🤔

Hungary's song kinda sounded like some nonsense, like sounds instead of words put together but idk maybe Hungarian is like that 😅 ( no offense). The Netherland's song was pretty goodand the 3 sisters sang well but I kinda feel that the short dresses and their story behind the song (their mother has a cancer) was one of the reasons they got to final.

I really would've wanted to see Malta in the final but that didn't happen. Malta's beautiful ballad " Breathlessly" is actually one of my favs in the whole competition and happens to also be in my spotify list but well you can't always win 🙈

Also what happened today was (probably) the first proposal in ESC when F.Y.R. Macedonia's lead singer's boyfriend proposed to the singer (who also happens to be expecting their child 👌) That was pretty cute but also not that romantic. There wasn't really many sweet words, it was more like just " Will you marry me?" but hey she said yes and that's what matters 😉✌

Eurovision Song Contest

So, the Eurovision Song Contest started today with the first semi finals. Even tho Finland hasn't really succeeded well in it, I've been watching it since I was little and every year cheered for my country ofc. This year I actually kinda likef Finland's song 🇫🇮 (Norma John - Blackbird) and thought that maybe this year we will at least get to the final but nope, we didn't... I don't wanna sound like a sore loser but srsly, some of the countries' singers couldn't even hit the right note most of the times. It was painful to watch and listen 😅.

The 10 countries which made it to the final were: Moldova, Azerbaijan, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Armenia, Australia (I thought that they were only gonna get in to the competition on the 75th anniversary 2 yrs ago but well still going strong), Cyprus and Belgium.

Some of these really surprised me because I for example didn't like Cyprus', Azerbaijan's, Portugal's or Belgium's performances at all... Belgium's singer was a shy 17-yr-old girl who unfortunately couldn't hit the right note and I thought that the whole performance wasn't really finished.

Moldova probably got thru because of the saxoman everyone loved a couple of yrs ago and the funny choreography.

I also really hate how most of the women nowadays just wear short and revealing dresses. Is it just to get votes or did the singers really choose those kinda costumes themselves? That's my question. Also, why do almost everyone wear white?

But anyway,
Since I remember, Eurovision Song Contest has pretty much been more of a "who creates the best show" contest instead of an actual singing contest like it used to be, and each year I feel like the singers get worse and worse because all the countries just focus on the show with all the high tech laser and light shows and fire elements. I think it's kinda sad. I would really love to see some amazing singing talents too, but only few countries offer that each year.

But I think I've talked enough about tonight's semi-final, maybe more after Thursday's one or at least about the final on Saturday, so stay tuned 😉

Long time no see...😅

I know I've been away for a long time, sorry about that 🙈 I can't really say that it's bc I've been busy or anyth since I'm just chilling all day everyday 😅👌 I just haven't really had anyth to say...

I wanna be able to write posts often but I also want that my posts are good and entertaining and not just some nonsense from the back of my brain. I've been trying to think of some ideas but I guess my brain just stopped working after my finals, and I can't really blame them 😂

Like I said, there hasn't been much going on in my life lately. I've used my time to finally hang out with some friends that I don't see that often. I've also started to go to the gym. I try to get myself go there at least 2-3 times a week. I went today and it was the 3rd time this week so success, little tap on the back and so on 😂👍 I actually have started to kinda enjoy the gym, okay well if I get to use the car, the bus makes the trip twice as long even tho the gym is like 4,5km away from my home 😅 and with twice as long I mean like it takes 45-60mins for me to do my work out and the bus + walking takes like 40-45mins, so yeah literally it doubles the time of the trip... (kiitos kehärata 🖕)

Besides friends and gym, the rest of my days I've spent watching tv or searching for a dress to my graduation... It's driving me crazy, like I know I'm picky + bc I'm curvy it's not that easy but I've literally been searching for a dress for a month now and I've not only searched from Finland but also from UK... I have like a month till my graduation and I have a photoshoot a couple of days before that so I'm starting to freak out. Also bc before I find the dress I also can't decide my shoes or makeup etc... I know totally #firstworldproblems but cmoon you only graduate once from high school so you gotta look gorgeous on that day 💁

I feel like a post that was supposed to just say like I'm sorry for not posting much and telling what I've been upto just turned into some complaining post but oh well I think that happens to a lot of things in my life 😂😅

I'll just put some pics in the end so you can look at them if you were too lazy to read the whole post ✌ also if you don't already follow me on instagram or snapchat you totally should bc I post a lot of stuff about my life there so you should totally check those out, @katjusa1 😉

Pray for Stockholm 🇸🇪❤

This was so not how I wanted this day to go... My day started pretty normally but then at 4pm everything changed. A stolen truck was driven to the crowd in the busy streets in Stockholm, Sweden.

I was so shocked and just scrolled thru Swedish media pages to find out about everything that was going on... I got scared because not only does my boyfriend's and also a few of my relatives live in Sweden but also I had friends today in Stockholm too, on their "abicruise"... The minutes that it took for my friend to message me back felt like an hour...

Luckily they were all lucky and nothing happened to them but not all of the people in Stockholm were that lucky unfortunately... Right now 4 people have died and 15 are in the hospital...

I'm just in shock. I can't believe we are living in a world like this...last week it was a bomb in St. Petersburg, Russia and today truck in Stockholm, Sweden... Finland is in the middle so ofc I'm starting to get scared...

It's a fucked up world we live in and it's just getting worse and worse all the time... Why can't we all just live in peace like we are supposed to? Why do people destroy other people to get more power? In my opinion, the people who take other people's lives just like that are nothing but sick and coward. It's like they're trying to play god by deciding when someone's life ends.

I'm sick of living in a world like this. All this hate is toxicating our lives and minds. We need to make this stop. We need to come together as one and love each other ❤

R.I.P. all the victims, pray for Stockholm ❤

Hellloooo again

Okay, let's all take a moment of silence for the fact that I'm here writing a new post this fast ✌ feeling like a winner here 👑 naah just kidding..

Anyway, I had pretty boring day today tbh but just felt like writing something here even if it might end up being a total nonsense 🙈

I was almost the whole day by myself which was pretty tiring even tho I'm the kinda person who LOVES to be alone. I just have too much alone time now when I'm done with school and my sister moved out.

My day included lots of tv and youtube, a work out (which I did at home because wasn't bothered to take a bus to the gym 😅), braiding my hair which I always do when I'm bored and  playing with my dog ♡ Also because I thought it would be a great idea to use our 8kg weight to do arm exercises, I totally did sth that is now causing my neck to be sore... Good job Katja, good job 👏 hopefully it will go away during the night especially now when I took a muscle relaxation pill. It also makes me sleepy so if the end of this post seems weird, I'm blaming the pill 😂

Tomorrow I'm prob gonna do the same as today except in the evening I might go to these "Hullut Päivät" (= Crazy Days) which is this big sale in Finland twice a year in Stockmann (really big shopping centre). Maybe if I'll find something, I mean other than candy 😂, I might show it here later.

It's prob time for me to end this post now since I can feel the medicine starting to work it's magic 🙈

Lots of love,

Oops...

I'm prob the worst at writing blog posts 🙈 I mean I don't even have school stuff to do anymore aka I have tons of free time everyday but I still don't post often... Sorry 🙊

Not much have happened since the last  post since right now I don't really do anything. I've been looking for jobs and then just spent time with friends so nothing worth posting about. I'm kinda having this writer's block and I really need to find some inspiration to this blogging thing, I'm still a newbie.

I wanna know what you guys would like to see in my blog. Would you like that I do like a Q&A or write about my fav bloggers/vloggers etc? Would you like me to rate sth or do like a makeup post with some looks I've done to myself? I'm up for (almost) everything at this point, just comment below

Maybe I'll just end this post with some pics from this past week 😊 I've had a really great time with my friends and boyfriend ❤

See you soon (hopefully)
